Terms of use
Last updated 17 September 2026
These terms apply to your use of The Study Nook, operated in Australia by Justine Bevilacqua. By using the service, you agree to them.
The service
The Study Nook is provided free of charge and on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, no warranty is given that it will always be available, error-free, secure or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law rights.
Your content
You retain ownership of the entries and other content you create. You give us the limited permission needed to store, process and display that content back to you and to operate features you choose to use.
Acceptable use
You must not use the service unlawfully, interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorised access, infringe another person’s rights, distribute malicious software, or use automated activity that places an unreasonable load on the service.
Accounts and termination
You are responsible for access to your email and account session. We may suspend or terminate accounts used for misuse, security threats or serious breaches of these terms. You may delete your account at any time in Settings.
Changes or discontinuation
The service and these terms may change. The service may also be discontinued. Reasonable notice will be given for material changes or a planned discontinuation where practical. You are encouraged to download your data regularly and before a notified closure.
Optional MCP and third-party AI services
Connecting Claude, ChatGPT or another third-party AI service is optional and entirely at your discretion and risk. Any subscription, usage or other charges imposed by that provider are your responsibility. Once you connect and ask a third-party service to access data, that provider’s terms and privacy practices apply. We are not responsible for how the third-party service handles, retains, uses or discloses data after you connect it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Justine Bevilacqua is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of opportunity or loss arising from reliance on the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the remedies required by applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the applicable State or Territory courts, without removing any mandatory rights you have under the laws where you live.
